I have never experienced such beautiful colors and patterns before. The movements of alt-azimuth were more smooth than that of my 8" refractor on the equatorial mount! We had a lot of fun with the 30". It is big! We saw some great images too. I had never seen M51 look like that before! It was in 3D! And when looking for objects, we would often see small galaxies.
